Checkers Agree To Terms With Andrew Carroll

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte Checkers general manager and head coach Derek Wilkinson announced today that the team has agreed to terms with rookie forward Andrew Carroll.

Carroll, 5-feet-11, 195 pounds, played the last four seasons in the NCAA with the University of Minnesota- Duluth. The Shoreview, Minn. native played 153 collegiate games in the four years scoring 29 goals and 28 assists for 57 points with 113 penalty minutes. Carroll is expected in the lineup for the Checkers tonight as they battle the Gwinnett Gladiators at Time Warner Cable Arena in their final game of the regular season at 7:00 p.m.

The Checkers are playing their 16th season of play as a member of the ECHL. In the team's 16-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 11 times including five consecutive playoff appearances to date.
