CANTON - The Canton Charge announced today that Jordi Fernandez and Nate Reinking will join James Posey as assistants on Head Coach Steve Hetzel's staff. The announcement was made by Cavaliers Director of Development League Operations Mike Gansey and Head Coach Steve Hetzel.

"I am thrilled to have Jordi and Nate joining James and completing our staff. We all share similar basketball philosophies and the strong belief in the importance of defensive principles being at the core of team success," said Hetzel. "Their diverse backgrounds and wide range of expertise will be extremely beneficial to our players in helping them be prepared each day as well as grow both individually and collectively."

Fernandez has served as a player development coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2009-13. As a player development coach, he conducted individual skill workouts with players, assisted with practice and game preparation and formed international scouting reports. Fernandez also served as an assistant coach for the Spanish National Team at the 2013 U-19 World Championships in Prague, at Club Basquet l'Hospitalet in Spain in 2008-09 and as a player development coach at Impact Basketball from 2007-09.

Reinking comes to the Charge with over 20 years of collegiate, professional and international experience as both a player and coach. He is an assistant coach with the Great Britain National Team, as he prepares scouting reports and implements game plans through on-court instruction and video breakdown, including during the team's participation in the 2013 European Championships in Slovenia. Reinking also played for Great Britain from 2005-12, representing the nation in international tournaments such as the Olympics and European Championships.
