GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Cleveland Charge (0-2) of the NBA G League, presented by Cleveland Clinic, were defeated on the road at the Grand Rapids Gold (3-0), 99-92 at the DeltaPlex Arena on Saturday night.

Cleveland was led by Justin James's double-double of 31 points and 11 rebounds in 36 minutes. Malik Newman added 18 points, five rebounds and six assists in 36 minutes. Tre Scott scored 17 points and grabbed six boards in 35 minutes. Tacko Fall swatted five blocks and grabbed 10 rebounds in 23 minutes. Sheldon Mac came off the bench to add 12 points.

The Gold's Matt Ryan led all scorers with 34 points on 9-of-19 from three-point range and a pair of steals in 41 minutes. Ryan's nine triples were a good for a new Grand Rapids franchise record. Quade Green came off the bench for Grand Rapids to score 23 points, grab six boards and dish four assists in 31 minutes. Kenneth Faried added four points, 15 rebounds and three steals in 28 minutes.
