San Diego Riptide News Release

SAN DIEGO – Missed all the action this weekend? Here's your chance to make up for it. Channel 4-San Diego will be re-broadcasting Saturday Night's exciting Riptide triumph over the previously number one ranked team in af2, the Quad City Steamwheelers.

Channel 4 carried the game live Saturday night, showing all the thrilling hits and explosive offense that led the Riptide to their second win of the season in a 62-52 shocker over the Steamwheelers. Channel 4 will re-broadcast the game in its entirety tonight at 6 p.m. with Chris Ello calling the play-by-play and Bill Werndl providing the color. The broadcast features all the high scoring offense and hard-hitting defense, but also up-close-and-personal interviews with Riptide head coach Mouse Davis and many players during the game.

Quad City entered the game with the league's top ranked defense, allowing just 36 points per game, but Riptide quarterback Kane Claunch and wide receiver Nakoa McElrath torched the ‘Wheeler secondary, breaking several team records in the process.

The Riptide now head out on a three-game road trip that will see them play twice in Hawaii (the first coming this Friday) against the division-leading Hawaiian Islanders, and once in Fresno against former head coach Cree Morris and the Central Valley Coyotes.

The ‘Tide returns home on June 26 to take on the Bakersfield Blitz at the Sports Arena at 7 p.m., with free Riptide t-shirts going to the first 3,000 fans in attendance. To find out more, or to purchase your tickets, visit the Sports Arena Box Office or log onto www.SanDiegoRiptide.com.

Fans can catch the action even when the Riptide are on the road by visiting www.WorldTalkRadio.com with Mark Rogandino and David Hale providing play-by-play and in-depth analysis of San Diego's most exciting football team.
