Minnesota Lynx News Release

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - A free trip to Los Angeles to see the Lynx play at Staples Center will highlight 'Lynx Go Hollywood Night' this Tuesday when Minnesota takes on the Los Angeles Sparks at Target Center. The randomly selected fan will be given free airfare, lodging, and tickets to see the Lynx battle the Sparks on September 11, 2009. Fans will also have the opportunity to win movie passes to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: An IMAX Experience and Fast & Furious DVDs.

Tuesday's game will also mark Candace Parker's return to Target Center after missing most of the first half of the season - including the teams' first matchup of the season at Target Center - to care for her newborn daughter. Tuesday will also be WNBA legend Lisa Leslie's final game in Minnesota as she plans to retire at the end of this season. Leslie, in her 12th WNBA season, is nearing her 350th career game, all of which she has started. Leslie's career averages currently stand at 17.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game and has been named WNBA MVP three times (2001, 2004, 2006). The four-time gold medallist (1996, 2000, 2004, 2008) was also the first player to dunk in a WNBA game.

Tuesday's 'Lynx Go Hollywood Night' is the fourth of six theme nights on Minnesota's 17-game home schedule. Saturday, August 1 is '80's Night' and 'AIDS Awareness Night' when the Lynx take on the Phoenix Mercury.

Lower-level tickets for 'Lynx Go Hollywood Night' and all remaining home games start at just $10 and can be purchased by calling 612-673-8400, emailing tickets@lynxbasketball.com, or visiting the Lynx website at www.lynxbasketball.com.
