The Hershey Bears have etched their names in the record books again by winning their ninth Championship in team history and can be called Calder Cup Champions once again. On the heals of this historic championship run, players, coaches and office staff have had the chance to spend personal and quality time with the Calder Cup. By the time the Championship banner is raised on opening night and the first puck is dropped, the Calder Cup will have traveled thousands of miles and between the US and Canada.
The Hershey Bears are giving you, our fans, the rare opportunity to share in the glory and the mystique of the Calder Cup by taking it on the road to an area mall near you, Monday, August 21st through Wednesday, August 23rd. We encourage you to bring your family, friends and neighbors as the Calder Cup will be on display for six two-hour time periods.
The Calder Cup will appear at the following area malls:
-York Galleria Mall - Monday, August 21st (11am-1pm)
-Capital City Mall - Monday, August 21st (4pm-6pm) **
-Strawberry Square - Tuesday, August 22nd (11am-1pm) **
-Harrisburg Mall - Tuesday, August 22nd (4pm-6pm) **
-Colonial Park Mall - Wednesday, August 23rd (11am-1pm)
-Park City Mall - Wednesday, August 23rd (4pm-6pm)
(**) Freddie Cassivi, The 2006 Calder Cup MVP, will be on site at these locations only.
The Calder Cup will also be making a stop at Clipper Magazine Stadium, the home of the Lancaster Barnstormers, Tuesday, August 22nd. "World-Famous" Puck Head will be on hand to throw out the 1st pitch as the Barnstormers take on the Atlantic City Surf at 7:05pm. Come out and get your picture taken with the Calder Cup and capture years of memories with The Cup and The Hershey Bears. Please bring your own camera. Still cameras, digital cameras and video recorders are permitted. There will be no charge for pictures. Limit one picture per person.
HERSHEY will host its 69th home opener in team history on Saturday, October 21 at GIANT Center at 7:00 pm vs. Bridgeport. Bring the family as we raise the Calder Cup Champions banner and celebrate history. BEARS season tickets can be purchased by calling 717-508-BEAR or visiting HersheyBears.com.
