Tampa Bay Rowdies News Release

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Rowdies head to New Jersey for a heavyweight contest against the New York Red Bulls II on Friday when first place meets second place.

Here are a few of the biggest matches happening in the Eastern Conference this weekend.

New York Red Bulls II vs. Tampa Bay Rowdies

Friday, 7 p.m. | ESPN+

The East's best offense has only been shutout twice this season, but one of those was against the Rowdies, so you know the Red Bulls will be up for this one.

The Rowdies have the second-best offense and second-best defense in the conference and will be put the test. Tampa Bay beat New York 2-0 on May 18 to take over first place and has basically had it ever since.

Nashville SC vs. Indy Eleven

Saturday, 8 p.m. | ESPN+

Nashville has only played twice all month and is coming off a 2-0 win in Memphis on July 17. Nashville sits in fifth place in the Eastern Conference and will look for a statement win.

Indy could equal the Rowdies point total if it wins both of its games in hand, but this visit to Nashville opens up a tricky portion of the schedule with North Carolina and Saint Louis next on the calendar.

Memphis 901 FC vs. Ottawa Fury FC

Saturday, 8:30 p.m. | ESPN+

Memphis needs to start getting results soon if it wants to make the playoffs in its inaugural season. Memphis has only 15 points to show for its first 18 games, but has a few games in hand on most teams above it.

Ottawa visits Memphis after a narrow victory over HFX Wanderes in the Canadian Championship on Wednesday night, so fatigue could be a factor. The Fury FC is unbeaten in three matches.
