PENSACOLA, FL. (October 23, 2014) - The Pensacola Ice Flyers will host their home opener this Saturday night at the Pensacola Bay Center at 7:05 p.m. including their pre-game President's Cup championship banner ceremony.

Following their season opener on the road Friday night against the Mississippi RiverKings, the Ice Flyers return home to Pensacola for an eventful night. It all begins with a party on the Bay Center plaza beginning at 4:30 p.m. which will include beverages, fun activities for kids and adults, and a live music by The Real Hooks.

Doors will open to the Bay Center at 5:30 p.m. for VIP members and at 6:00 p.m. to the public. After the player introductions at 7:00 p.m., last season's SPHL championship team will be honored with a special presentation which includes the unveiling of the Coffey Trophy banner and the raising of the 2013-14 President's Cup banner. WEAR ABC Channel 3's Sports Director, Dan Shugart, will be the the emcee of the ceremony. Mayor Ashton Hayward and Chairman of the Escambia County Commision, Lumon May, will be on hand participating in the ceremony.

Once the banner is raised, the puck will drop between the Pensacola Ice Flyers and the Columbus Cottonmouths; a rematch of last year's SPHL finalists.
