
Chad Costello Named PHPA, ECHL MVP

Ontario, California - Allen Americans forward Chad Costello was named PHPA, ECHL Most Valuable Player today, presented by BioSteel Sports. Costello won the ECHL scoring title this season after a career high 125 points.
"It's a very prestigious honor to be named league MVP by your peers," said Allen Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson. Congratulations to Chad."
Costello, a native of Johnston, Iowa signed with Allen as a free agent this past off-season. He finished with 41 goals, right behind teammate Gary Steffes (44), and led the ECHL with 84 assists. Costello was named to the All-ECHL First Team this season, as well Player of the Month & Player of the Week two times each.
"It's a great honor to be recognized by your peers," said Costello. "I play with some great players and I couldn't have won this award without my teammates and coaches. I would also like to thank the PHPA for all they do for the players."
The Americans return to action tomorrow night in Ontario for Game 4 of the ECHL Western Conference Finals. Ontario leads the series 2-1
