Published on October 28, 2005 under Canadian Football League (CFL) News Release
Toronto, Ontario - (October 28, 2005) - The Canadian Football League announced today that it has imposed a fine and two-game suspension to offensive lineman Jonta Woodard of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for physically contacting an official and subsequent inappropriate actions involving fans during the Hamilton at Toronto game last night at Rogers Centre.
The Commissioner's office investigated the incident and imposed the suspension today consistent with the League's zero tolerance position on these matters. The suspension is stayed pending a formal hearing, which is expected to take place early next week.
