Published on August 9, 2005 under Canadian Football League (CFL) News Release
Toronto, ONTARIO - August 9, 2005 - This November, the Canadian Football League (CFL) and TrojanOne are proud to present the first Canadian Sponsorship Forum, to be hosted in Vancouver in conjunction with this year's CFL Grey Cup.
Canadian Sponsorship Forum 2005: The Business of Sponsorship will take place from November 25th to the 27th in Vancouver's beautiful Pan Pacific Hotel. The three-day forum will address key issues facing Canada's marketers, sponsor properties and agencies and will provide ample opportunities for business-building through networking.
As a presenting sponsor, the CFL will provide insight into the Grey Cup property and how its sponsors maximize their investment in the CFL with a behind-the-scenes look at the big game. "Sponsorship has emerged as a key medium for building brands and is very important to our League. We're proud to be able to showcase our premier sponsorship property, the Grey Cup, to industry leaders as part of this forum," said Brent Scrimshaw, the CFL's senior vice-president of marketing and partnerships.
Attendees to the Canadian Sponsorship Forum 2005 will be treated to a unique, in-depth look at the Grey Cup, with all attendees receiving a ticket to the 2005 Grey Cup with their Canadian Sponsorship Forum registration. "The integration with one of Canada's leading sponsorship properties will stimulate discussion of leading trends and current best practices in sponsorship. This in itself will make it very different than a traditional conference," states Mark Harrision, the Chair of Canadian Sponsorship Forum 2005.
The Canadian Sponsorship Forum is designed to bring together the key stakeholders on Canada's sponsorship landscape. The event celebrates the successes of Canada's sponsorship industry and is meant to help ensure a consistent pattern of growth for the future through education and the establishment of best practices.
