Club de Foot Montreal News Release
HOUSTON, Texas - CF Montréal (12-8-4) is headed to southeastern Texas to take on the Houston Dynamo FC (7-13-4) this Saturday at 9pm EDT at PNC Stadium (TVA Sports, 91.9 Sports, TSN 690).
After drawing 2-2 at home against Inter Miami CF last Saturday, the Montrealers are undefeated in their last five games. The team also currently boasts the second-best road record in the Eastern Conference (6-4-2). Indeed, Montreal has won six of its last nine away games but has never managed three consecutive road win in its MLS history.
Saturday will also mark forward Romell Quioto's first visit to Houston since departing his former club. Quioto played 72 games for the Dynamo from 2017 to 2019 before joining Montreal's roster. With his brace last Saturday, he became the fourth player in Club history to reach the 10-goal mark in a single MLS season. In doing so, he joined a select group of strikers that includes Marco Di Vaio, Nacho Piatti and Didier Drogba. The Honduran international has eight goals in his last eight starts.
Overall, Montreal has a 7-7-1 record against the Texas club but is winless on the road. So the visitors will be looking to grab their first ever win in Houston, having picked up just one point in eight contests away from home (0-7-1).
In the last meeting between the two sides, Montreal came out on top on November 3 at Stade Saputo by a 2-0 score line. Defender Kamal Miller scored his first career goal with CF Montréal in that game.
The Canadian international spent the last few days in Minnesota for the 2022 MLS All-Star Game. Wednesday night, Miller and his teammates defeated the Liga MX All-Stars 2-1 at Allianz Field.
