New Jersey Jackals News Release
LITTLE FALLS, NJ-Jim Cerny, who has served as play-by-play broadcaster and Director of Media Relations for the New Jersey Jackals since the team's inception in 1998, announced today that he is leaving the club to pursue other opportunities in baseball.
Cerny, who called the first pitch in franchise history in May of 1998, broadcasted three league championships, two league all star games and one no-hitter in his five-year tenure with the Jackals.
He counts the improbable rallies in Game 5 of the 2002 Northern League East Championship Series and in Game 1 of the 1998 Northeast League Championship Series as his most memorable highlights as voice of the Jackals.
