"Our clothing room operates entirely through donated items," said Sandra Lewis, Executive Director of the Day Center. "These coats will help people stay warm all winter long, so this is a very important coat drive." The Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless serves 400 people everyday, providing resources to help people who are homeless return to self-sufficiency.

The Tulsa Oilers who have won two of their last three games, have made a couple of roster moves. The Oilers traded right winger Kai Magnussen to the Rocky Mountain Rage in exchange for future considerations, and signed free agent right winger Mike Mullen. Magnussen had scored two goals and two assists in 16 games with the Oilers this season. Mullen, began the season with the Augusta Lynx of the ECHL, and that team recently ceased operations. "Mike obviously comes from a great hockey family and can bring a lot of speed and offense to our line up," Oilers coach Dan Hodge said. Mullen's father Joe was the Central Hockey League Rookie of the Year in 1979-80 and went on to win three Stanley Cups during a Hall of Fame career. The 5-foot-11, 175 pound Mullen had two goals and seven assists for nine points in 18 games with Augusta this season. The 25-year old rookie played at New England College where he was a teammate of Oiler Mike Carmody. Mullen will be with the Oilers when they play at Odessa Friday at 7:05 p.m. and at Oklahoma City on Saturday at 7:10 p.m. the next Oilers home game is Saturday Dec. 20th against the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs at 7:35 p.m. All Oiler games are available at www.tulsaoilers.com
