CORPUS CHRISTI, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will look for their seventh straight win tonight when they travel to take on the Corpus Christi Ice Rays at the American Bank Center. Game time is 7:05pm.

Laredo looks to continue their recent hot streak as they start a brief two-game road swing tonight. The Bucks have won six games in a row, and 11 of their last 12 to put themselves tied atop the Southern Conference with Odessa.

Last night the Bucks gave up an early first period goal to New Mexico, but stormed back to score six unanswered en route to a 6-1 win.

Alex Goupil and Ryan Salvis tallied two goals apiece, with Sebastien Centomo setting aside 26 of 27 Scorpions shots in net.

The Bucks special teams ruled last night, as they went 4-7 on the power-play, and held the Scorpions 0-for-nine with the man advantage.

Besides being one of the hottest teams in the league, the Bucks have two of the hottest players in the league in Jeff Bes and Darryl Smith. Bes (8-32=40) and Smith (17-16=33) sit first and second in the CHL scoring race with 40 and 33 points, respectively.

The Ice Rays enter tonight's game in last place in the Southeast Division, having lost two straight games (0-1-1), and three of their last four.

Corpus has three players with 20 or more points. Chris Richards (13-12=25), Ryan Bennett (11-12=23), and Justin Quenneville (6-17=23).

Corpus will travel to Amarillo and Odessa Saturday and Sunday.

The Bucks will play at Odessa on Saturday night, in a match-up of Southern Conference leaders. Laredo will return to the LEC next weekend, when they host Rio Grande Valley on December 19 for Posada Night, and Corpus Christi on Saturday for their Holiday Jersey Auction.
