
Cats Trade Metcalfe to Screaming Eagles

Moncton Wildcats News Release
The Moncton Wildcats have traded twenty year old defenseman Spencer Metcalfe to the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles for a 5th round draft pick in the 2012 QMJHL Entry Draft. Metcalfe had two assists in 24 games last season for the Cats while accumulating 53 penalty minutes. During the Wildcats run for the 2010 Presidents Cup Metcalfe recorded two assists in 19 playoff games. Wildcats Head coach and Director of Hockey Operations Danny Flynn had the following to say regarding Metcalfe and his contributions to the Wildcats organization. "Spencer is a terrific young man and was an important part of our 2010 championship team. We wish him nothing but the best".
The Wildcats continue their pre-season schedule tonight against the PEI Rocket. Puck drop is at 7:30pm at the RedBall Internet Centre.
