
'Cats rally for dramatic win

Edmonton, AB-The Edmonton Cracker-Cats were down by six runs going into the bottom of the seventh, but came back to win 8-7 in front of 547 faithful fans at Telus Field.
Greg Bicknell started the game for Chico, his game totals were eight hits and seven runs, evening his record to 4-4.
Nick Peterson got the start for the âCats, going six complete innings, striking out 4 while giving up only three earned runs.
The Outlaws began the game scoring two runs in top of the first. Steve Boggs reached base on a error, stole second and cashed in for the second run of the inning.
Dan Touchet came in relief of Peterson, pitching the seventh inning, giving up one earned run. But the Cats got that run back and then some, as they belted out six runs in the bottom of the seventh. Jose Morban hit a triple, with the bases loaded, to cash in three runs. The âCats tied it up as Chris Van Rossum doubled into right field, bringing Morban home.
Dave Humen came into the ballgame in the eighth, he pitched the one inning, striking out one batter. Pete Sikaras pitched the ninth, and kept the game tied at seven.
The score stayed deadlocked going into the bottom of the ninth, with Van Rossum on second setting the stage for the dramatic comeback as Carlos Arroyo singled up the middle to bring home the game winning RBI.
The Cracker-Cats record now jumps to 30-24 on the season. The Cats finished this seven game home stand with a 6-1 record.

The Cracker-Cats will now head out on a eight game road trip. They will be back at home on Tuesday, August 5th vs the Yuma Scorpions. Game time is 7:05pm.
