Moncton Wildcats News Release
This was a very evenly matched game throughout. The Sea Dogs opened the scoring in the first with a goal from Stephen Anderson and helpers from Tomas Jurco & Zack Phillips. Olivier Daoust got his third of the season in the second period with help from Brandon Shea and James Melindy. It stayed tied at 1-1 for the third forcing overtime. The Sea Dogs were able to seal the game late in the five minute overtime period with a goal from Charles-Olivier Roussel. Zack Phillips and Tomas Jurco had the assists.
The dogs took the game 2-1 in front of a good crowd of 3965, 35 fans shy of one point towards the Rivalry Cup. Shots on goal were 31-30 in favor of Moncton. Both Moncton and Saint John were 0/2 on the PP. Three starts were:
1. SNB - 35 Mathieu Corbeil
2. MON - 29 Roman Will
3. SNB - 37 Stephen Anderson
