
'Cats comeback falls short, dropping 8-7 to Flyers

Edmonton,AB -The Edmonton Cracker-Cats played their third game of this eight game road trip tonight falling to the Orange County Flyers, 8-7.
Erik Van Slyke started the game for the 'Cats. He pitched five innings and left the game with a no decision. Dan Luyben had a very strong night, and hit a two run home run in the fourth inning to give the 'Cats a 6-0 lead going into the bottom of the fifth inning. Flyers starting pitcher, Andre Simpson threw 140 pitches in his outing, and was relieved by Ezequiel Ruvalcaba in the eighth inning. That same inning, Fernando Pacheco hit a solo home run, his second of the game, to give the Flyers the eventual game winning RBI. Dan Touchet came in relief of Dave Humen, and picked up the loss.
