Happy Holidays from The Moncton Wildcats
The Moncton Wildcats hope that everyone had a great Holiday season and we wish everyone the best of luck as we approach the year 2011. Now that we are all fueled up on turkey it is time to think hockey once again, and get out to the Moncton Coliseum to cheer on our boys as they prepare for the second half of the season and another playoff run.
Wildcats' Week Ahead
The Moncton Wildcats return to action following a 13 day break this Thursday night as they welcome the 12th ranked PEI Rocket (17-17-1-2) to the Coliseum for only the 2nd time this season. The Rocket have won 2 of 3 so far against the Cats, defeating them 5-2 at the Coliseum and 6-3 in PEI. Moncton's lone victory against PEI was a 5-3 decision at the Charlottetown Civic Center. Following Thursday's game the Wildcats make the short trek to Saint John to face the first place Sea Dogs in a New Years Eve showdown. Saint John (29-4-0-2) has won both meetings so far this season against the Wildcats. They beat the Cats 6-2 in Saint John and 9-7 in a Wild game at the Moncton Coliseum. Sunday January 2nd these two teams return to Moncton for a 2pm showdown at the Moncton Coliseum.
Booster Club on the Road to Cheer on the Cats
The Moncton Wildcat's Booster Club is planning a bus trip to Halifax to cheer on the Wildcats as they face the Halifax Mooseheads Friday January 7th. Those who are interested are asked to visit the Booster Club Booth set up on the mezzanine during Thursday night's game against the PEI Rocket. The deadline for payment is Thursday December 30th.
Upcoming Home Games
Thursday night's game against the PEI Rocket has VIA Rail as the game sponsor. They will be giving away over $1000 in VIA Rail travel vouchers. Fans should be sure to purchase a 50/50 (presented by C103) ticket for a chance to win a Trip for Two to Halifax to watch the Moncton Wildcats battle the Halifax Mooseheads on Friday January 7th. By purchasing a game-day program you will also have a chance to win! If your program has one of the Wildcats stamped on the VIA Rail logo you will be eligible to take part in the XL 96 Chuck-A-Puck during the 2nd intermission. The winner will receive a prize bag compliments of XL 96 and the 3 closest pucks to centre ice will win prizes from VIA Rail. A lucky program number will also be drawn this night to win a $250 travel voucher and finally, during the 1st intermission, 6 lucky participants will have the chance to compete for more prizes compliments of VIA Rail.
December 30th is a Thursday night game which means the The Gourmet Moose Business Card Drop is back. Upon entering the Coliseum drop your business card off at fan services for a chance to win a $40 gift card from the Gourmet Moose Catering,
Sunday afternoon, the first place Saint John Sea Dogs come to town for the 4th installment of this years Rivalry Cup. Coast Tire & Auto Service is the game sponsor. Over $1,300 in prizes to be given away this night! Lucky fans will have a chance to go home with a set of 4 Goodyear Tires, Oil changes, or Wheel alignment compliments of Coast Tire.
Merry Maids will be giving away a $100 gift certificate, upon entering the Coliseum Sunday make your way to fan services to fill out a ballot.
Sunday will also mark the start of our 15th anniversary celebrations. We will be honoring the inaugural 1996-97 Moncton Wildcats team as well as the unveiling the #15 Favorite Wildcats of all time.

Moncton Wildcat Business Hours
The Moncton Wildcats remain operating its regular business hours this week. December 31st we will be open from 9am - 4pm. The office will then be open from 10am to the end of the game on January 2nd. It will then be closed on January 3rd reopening to its regular hours on January 4th.
