Last Week's Recap

This past weekend the Moncton Wildcats completed a grueling month of November by hitting the road one last time. Friday night in Lewiston the Wildcats lost to the Maineiacs 3-2 in a shootout in what was a hard fought game. Allain Saulnier scored both goals for the Cats, while Shane Owen was stellar stopping 40 of the 42 shots he faced. Samuel Carrier scored in the 5th round of the shootout to win the game for Lewiston.

The Cats got back to in the win column Sunday afternoon in Shawinigan by defeating the Cataractes 5-2. Marek Hrivik led the way with four points including a hat trick. Allain Saulnier and Daniel Milan also scored for the Cats. Steve Gleeson ran his record to 5-0 as a Wildcat by stopping 25 of 27 shots.

Wildcats' Week Ahead

The Moncton Wildcats begin a busy month of December in the comfort of their own home. Thursday night the Cats welcome Kirill Kabanov and the Lewiston Maineiacs to town in a rematch of last Friday's game in Lewistion. Home Hardware is the game sponsor. Be sure to buy a game program for your chance to participate in the XL 96 Chuck-A-Puck during the second intermission. If you have a Wildcat stamp on the Home Hardware logo in your program, present your program to fan services to redeem your puck. If you purchased a Tree of Hope Wreath from a local minor hockey player Thursday night's game is the game to redeem your 2 for 1 coupon.

Friday night the cats are back in action, when the welcome the Gatineau Olympiques to the Moncton Coliseum. Coast Tire and Auto Service is the game sponsor and on lucky fan will be going home with a set of Winter Tires courtesy of Coast Tire. Note the game time for Friday's game is a 7:30 start.

Saturday night the Wildcats play their third game in three days in PEI, game time for that one is set for 7:00pm.

Brandon Gormley Named to Canada's U20 Selection Camp Roster

Moncton Wildcats defenseman Brandon Gormley was named to Hockey Canada's World Junior Selection Camp Roster on Moncton. A total of 39 players will attend the camp competing for the chances to wear the Maple Leaf during this year's tournament in Buffalo NY. This is the second consecutive year Gormley was invited to camp, last year the Phoenix Coyotes 1st round pick attended as a 17 year old and was one of the last players cut.

Leons Comfort Zone

Have you ever wanted the chance to sit in the Leons Comfort Zone during a Moncton Wildcats home game? Now is your chance. When you get to the Coliseum, fill out a ballot at fan services for your chance to enjoy the action in a comfy lazy boy. We will be drawing the winner at the start each game for the remainder of the season.

Roar Store Holiday Hours:

Just a reminder the Roar Store has started their holiday hour. The Roar Store will now be opened Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11am - 2 pm as well as Saturday's from 9am - 4 pm. The Roar Store is also opened on game days from 12pm to the end of the game for Monday through Saturday games and 10am to the end of the game on Sundays.
