Cats & Rio launch Save for Cancer:
Look for the launch of "Save for Cancer" this weekend.
Goaltender Nicola Riopel is donating a dollar a save and the Cats are matching it in this innovative community program.
The money raised will go to long time Wildcats season ticket holder Kevin Rickard, who has been battling cancer since December 18, 2008.
Kevin will undergo stem cell transplantation at the Queen Elizabeth Health Centre in Halifax starting February 8th.
The entire Wildcats family is pulling for Kevin and can't wait to see him and his biggest fan, wife Andella, back in their seats.
Cats Community Calendar:
A skating party at Centennial Park is another of the community events for the Cats, it takes place next Wednesday, January 20th starting at 6pm.
Reading is Wild is getting set for another season starting next week.
January 31st will be a big day for the Oromocto Peewee Eagles.
They won the national Old Dutch Foods contest and will get to practice with the Wildcats.
You could call the make up game on February 2nd with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies Cap-Pele night at the Coliseum; Patrice Cormier will be back in town with his new team to face the Sauliner twins, Allain and Alex.
We wonder which Cap-Pele native will get the most cheers.

Tuesday's Coffee Cup Question winner was Kevin Blackman.
