Cats return from Super Series:

Congratulations to the four members of the Wildcats who return home today after seeing action as part of team QMJHL in the Subway Super Series. Goaltender Louis Domingue, defensemen Brandon Gormley, David Savard and Mark Barberio played against the Russian Selects in the two games on Monday in Drummondville and last night in Shawinigan.

Charities and action part of weekend games::

There's a full slate of activity at the Wildcats two home games this weekend. Tomorrow night is Charity Bear night sponsored by Medavie Blue Cross. Bring your stuffed toys and litter the ice when the Cats score their first goal against the PEI Rocket. The toys will go to local area charities and add special Christmas cheer to children in the South-Eastern New Brunswick area.

Fans will be able to purchase Bears at the Coliseum entrance before the game.

Pre-game ceremonies will include the presentation of donations to the Atlantic Division of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and Mobile One. Game time is 7pm.

Sunday afternoon's 4 o'clock game against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles will be highlighted in the pre-game by Olympic Torch Bearers from the Greater Moncton Area participating in the puck drop. The exciting cross Canada Torch Relay reaches Moncton on Monday.

Cats looking for Bears today downtown:

Look for Wildcats team members in downtown Moncton today as they blitz businesses for Charity Bears and stuffed toys for tomorrow night's Charity Bear event. Some downtown locations have already collected toys which the team will take to the Coliseum for tomorrow's game.

Cats merchandise is available at the Roar Store, open tomorrow from The Roar Store will be open tomorrow from 4 pm to 30 minutes after the game and Sunday from 10am until after the game. Non-game day hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11-2 and Saturdays from 11-4 will have them for sale.

Monctonian AAA tournament underway:

The 29th annual Cavendish Farms Monctonian AAA challenge got underway this morning at the newly named Red Ball Internet 4-Ice Centre. 44 teams, made up of 24 minor midget and 20 major midget teams from the New England states, Quebec, Ontario and the Atlantic Provinces will play in the four day event which wraps up on Sunday. The weekend event attracts over 200 scouts, seeking talent for University, prep schools and major junior teams. Many Wildcats both past and present have shown their stuff at past Monctonian.

Cats visit schools for "Art on Ice":

Wildcat players will be going back to school on Monday to promote the Art on Ice program. They'll be meeting students in the gym at the Shediac Cape School from 10am to 11:00am and will visit the Art class Magnetic Hill School from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. Look for students Art work displays in both the Downtown area and at the Coliseum next month.

Movember gets media attention:

Team captain Scott Brannon, team mate Devon MacAusland, General Manager Bill Schurman and John Devona of Read's Books on Main Street will be guests of Dave MacDonald on CBC Radio's Information Morning tomorrow.

They're all promoting Movember, the effort by the Wildcats to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer. The month long mustache growing effort will wind up at next Thursday night's game against Drummondville.

Catch a bite at Legends:

Wildcats fans can catch a delicious meal or snack before the game or during the intermissions at Legends Restaurant just up the ramp from section 16. Legends is open two hours before every game and offers taste tempting, economical meals.

Cat of the Day:

The "Turkey Lady", Sue Stultz gets our salute today. Along with the Moncton Fire Department, Sue will launch her 12th annual Turkey Drive at the Camden Park Terrace Senior complex on the last day of the month. Donors will be able to drop off turkeys at the St. George Boulevard Fire Station daily from 10am to 7pm. Sue and her hubby Bruce are long time season ticket holder and great Wildcats fans.
