Moncton Wildcats News Release
Cats meet Veterans:
The Moncton Wildcats made an important stop yesterday before leaving for tonight's game in Rimouski. The team bus traveled to military display at Centennial Park where the players and coaching staff met with Veterans. The annual game day tribute to Veterans was cancelled last week and the team wanted to pause for a minute to express their deep gratitude to the men and women who have served our country and preserved our freedom.
The annual Remembrance Day Ceremony is scheduled for the Coliseum beginning at 10:45 on Wednesday morning. The public is invited to attend as the greater Moncton area pays its respects to our brave women and men who served and are serving in Canada's Armed Forces.
Home game attendance up:
Figures released by the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League last week, show attendance at Wildcats games up by over one hundred fans per game. The Cats are averaging 4,311 fans per game, ranking them third in attendance in the entire League.

Charity Bear Night:
Next home game for the Wildcats will be against the PEI Rocket on November 20th. It's the annual Charity Bear night. Fans are encouraged to bring a Teddy Bear or stuffed animal with them. When the Cats score their first goal, the Coliseum ice will be filled with Bears and animals. Volunteers from the game sponsor, Medavie Blue Cross will then collect the toys which will be disturbed to local charities including the Progress Club.
Movember growth shows:
The Wildcats effort on behalf of Prostate Cancer research is growing each day. Male members of the staff are growing mustaches and getting pledges to support this very important charity. The best looking "stachs" will be shown following the game with Drummondville on the 26th of the month.
