Catch the RiverDogs' Upcoming Seven-Game Homestand

CHARLESTON, SC - The Charleston RiverDogs will host a seven-game homestand from Saturday, May 10 through Friday, May 16 following a three-game road series against the Rome Braves. Charleston's upcoming opponents at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park are the Savannah Sand Gnats, the reigning South Atlantic League champions, and the Hickory Crawdads.

Saturday, May 10, 6:05 pm: The first 1,000 fans through the gates receive a Tony the Peanut Man singing bobblehead, presented by WCSC Channel 5. Social Media Saturday is a great opportunity for fans to make requests to the RiverDogs on Facebook and Twitter for music, promotions and other ballpark features. Fans whose requests are chosen might see their name on the new video board. It is also Greystar Night, presented by The Boulevard, and Goose Creek Night.

Sunday, May 11, 5:05 pm: On Mother's Day, Gildan's "Pampering in the Park" allows moms to get VIP treatment with a mini-massage or a mini-manicure while their kids can decorate a t-shirt for them. It is also CCPRC and Crews Subaru Kids Club Sunday, sponsored by Y102.5. Kids Eat Free courtesy of Pepsi, with all children in attendance receiving a coupon for a free hot dog, a fountain drink, and chips. Parking is free, and all members of Charlie's Kids Club get into the game for free. RiverDogs Director of Operations John Schumacher is the celebrity "Smokin' Chef" and will prepare a smoked wild boar loin with a peach chutney using the RiverDogs' new meat smoker. For Seersucker Sunday, the RiverDogs will wear their cool seersucker uniforms. Fans that wear seersucker can save $1 off their ticket purchase at the box office or donate that dollar to the Preservation Society of Charleston and the Historic Charleston Foundation. Hospital workers from around the area will join the fun on Hospital Day. Show support for Susan G. Komen and breast cancer awareness at the game. You may also bring your canine companion to The Joe for Dog Day, which is sponsored by Banfield Pet Hospital.

Monday, May 12, 7:05 pm: Coors and Magic 107.3 present Dollar Dogs and Beers Night, with $1 hot dogs and $1 drafts in the Ashley View Pub. It is also Digital Academy Night as the RiverDogs will hand out tokens and memberships to the MLB.com Digital Academy, an online swing analysis resource. McDonald's is sponsoring Youth Baseball Night as well. Play It Again Sports in Mt. Pleasant will be on-hand to collect used baseball equipment to donate to Pass It Forward Sports, a local charitable organization that provides equipment and fees for underprivileged children throughout the Lowcountry so they can participate in organized youth sports. The RiverDogs will also be hosting "Dogs with a Cause" to benefit the Children's Museum of the Lowcountry.

Tuesday, May 13, 7:05 pm: The finale of the four-game set with the Savannah Sand Gnats is highlighted by Harris Teeter 2-for-$20 Date Night Tuesday, presented by Nash FM. Couples that show their VIC Card at the box office receive two tickets to the game, two tacos, two fountain drinks, and a nacho tray for just $20.

Wednesday, May 14, 7:05 pm: HealthSouth Senior Wednesday, sponsored by MeTV, includes a free food voucher for all senior citizens (age 65 & older) that enter The Joe before 7 pm. The voucher covers a free hot dog, a bag of chips and a 16-ounce fountain drink. There is also an Early Bird Special, available until 7 pm, for all fans to get a hot dog, a basket of fries and a fountain drink for only $6. The latest installment of "Dogs with a Cause" will support Respite Care of Charleston. The RiverDogs are guaranteed a win on Wins-Day, so if the RiverDogs lose their game, all fans in attendance can use their tickets to get into the next Wednesday home game for free.

Thursday, May 15, 7:05 pm: 95SX present Budweiser Thirsty Thursday, with $1 drafts and DJ Natty Heavy in the Ashley View Pub. This game is also sponsored by South Carolina's Future Scholar Program, the 529 qualified plan that helps folks save for their child's education. Wild Wing Cafe will be in the Ashley View Pub for a wing-eating contest. Nurses Night is a fun opportunity for nurses throughout the Lowcountry to come to the game. Also, one lucky nurse will receive a $500 scholarship check. The Preservation Society of Charleston and the Historic Charleston Foundation will also be on-hand to celebrate the rich history of the Holy City. Stick around after the game and listen to Mozo in a postgame concert adjacent to the Beer Garden, sponsored by Palmetto Brewery and Awendaw Green. Mozo plays music out of its own genre called "Beach Hop," which includes influences from Reggae, Pop, and Hip Hop.

Friday, May 16, 7:05 pm: ISHPI Red Shirt Friday, presented by 103.5 WEZL, finishes the homestand with fun and fireworks. Wear red to the game and save $1 off your ticket purchase at the box office or donate that dollar to Canines for Veterans and Folds of Honor. Big Brothers Big Sisters Night encourages fans to go online for "Winning with Doubles" and pledge a donation amount for every double that the RiverDogs hit through the end of May. The always popular Titus the Wonder Dog from Canines for Veterans will be back to show off his bat boy skills. Miller and Coors present $3 Aluminum Pint Night in the Ashley View Pub. The RiverDogs will wear special red jerseys and honor a military family at Friday's game, which is also sponsored by the Dermatology & Laser Center of Charleston. Following the game, watch another remarkable fireworks display over the scenic Ashley River as another homestand comes to a close.

Charleston will also host an eight-game homestand that starts later this month, highlighted by "Re-Opening Night" on May 27.
