Catch the Hawks against U.S. Division Teams this Weekend

Portland Winterhawks News Release


After nearly two weeks, the Winter Hawks return home for a pair of games this weekend that kick-off a five-game homestand. The Hawks host back-to-back games against fellow U.S. Division teams, taking on Tri-Cities tonight and Everett Saturday.

After a couple of days off, Lethbridge will then come to town next Wednesday.

Friday, January 30: Portland vs. Tri-Cities 7:30 PM: Memorial Coliseum

Saturday, January 31: Portland vs. Everett 7:00 PM: Memorial Coliseum

Wednesday, February 4: Portland vs. Lethbridge 7:00 PM: Memorial Coliseum

Enterprise Trip A Huge Success

The Portland Winter Hawks took a detour on their way to Tri-Cities Tuesday and stopped off in Enterprise, Oregon to skate on the town's outdoor rink. The Oregonian's Ryan White was along for the ride and wrote about the event

In addition, Hawks broadcaster Andy Kemper recapped the event on his blog.

Also, Enterprise radio station KWVR posted a photo gallery online with dozens of pictures documenting the day.

Hawks lose 3-1 in ShoWare Center debut

Seattle got two goals from Greg Scott as the Hawks fall in their first game in Seattle ShoWare Center.

Mascot Night Returns Next Week

One of the Portland Winter Hawks' most popular promotions of the season returns February 7 when the team hosts its annual mascot night.

The Winter Hawks' own Tom-A-Hawk will be joined by many of his mascot friends, including Blaze from the Portland Trail Blazers, the Oregon Duck, Bullwinkle the Moose, Timber Joey from the Portland Timbers, Boomer from the Portland Beavers, the Bank of the West Bear, the Fred Meyer Bear, Scruff McGruff, and the Dark Side Troopers, who portray popular Star Wars characters.
