The Thunderbirds continue to skate in training camp and prepare for the 2018-19 season which begins on Friday.

On Wednesday morning, camp invite Dominik Brzek's rights were traded to the Mentor Ice Breakers for future considerations. Currently 27 players are in camp vying for an opening day roster spot. A full roster will not be available until final cuts are made.

Opening weekend is sure to be an exciting time in the Annex with rally towels being provided to the first 2,000 fans in attendance on Friday. Friday's opener will also feature a pregame concert from the Honky-Tonk Outlaws. Concert location is weather pending.

On Saturday, October 27 the Thunderbirds will have a Halloween themed game with a costume contest and trick or treating available throughout the night.

The Thunderbirds open the 2018-19 season with six straight home games and will look to start strong in their quest for their first Commissioner's Cup. Carolina welcomes in Port Huron (Oct. 26-27), Elmira (Nov. 2-3) and Danville (Nov. 9-10) during their opening home stretch.
