Carolina Signs Two Way Player Tre Long

GREENSBORO, NC - The Carolina Cobras announce the signing of wide receiver / defensive back Trevante Long who signs for his second season of arena football and first season with the Cobras.

Trevante Long (6'2, 215) last played for the Carolina Havoc of the American Arena League (AAL) during the 2019 season. During his season with Havoc Trevante Long hauled in over 50 passes and 12 touchdowns helping the Havoc to the AAL Playoffs.

During his college career was a record wide receiver at Division II Shaw University. Long finished his career with the Bears with the most receptions in team history (146), second most in team history for yards (1,544). Prior to Shaw, Trevante played for NC A&T in 2014. That season Long and the Aggies finished 9-3 and finished second in the MEAC.

Long is from Huntersville, NC where he played for North Mecklenburg High where he played running back and safety.
