
Carolina Rhinos to Broadcast on 'The Sportszone'

Road games and "Rhino Talk" to air on WCSZ-AM 1070
GREENVILLE, SC â The League office of arenafootball2 and the Carolina Rhinos have announced the team will broadcast its road games and a weekly talk show on 1070 "The Sportszone" WCSZ-AM this season. It has also been announced that Chris Burgin will serve as the play by play "Voice of the Rhinos".
Game broadcasts will begin 15 minutes prior to kickoff and will include complete pregame, halftime and post-game shows in addition to all of the play by play action. The regular-season broadcast schedule is as follows:
Saturday April 6th at Macon 7:15 p.m.
Saturday April 27th at Augusta 7:15 p.m.
Sunday May 12th at Greensboro 3:45 p.m.
Saturday May 25th at Norfolk 7:15 p.m.
Friday May 31st at Louisville 7:15 p.m.
Saturday June 22nd at Roanoke 7:15 p.m.
Saturday June 29th at Columbus 6:45 p.m.
Saturday July 13th at Cape Fear 7:15 p.m.
"Rhino Talk" returns for its second season this year. The show features head coach Rod Miller, as well as special guest appearances by Rhinos players and coaches. "Rhino Talk" will be broadcast live from Wild Wing Café Mondays from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. beginning Monday April 15th. Fans are encouraged to offer their questions and comments live in person or over the phone.
Chris Burgin joins the team for his first season as the "Voice of the Rhinos". The 1992 graduate of the University of South Carolina also serves as the play by play voice of Presbyterian College football and basketball and is the Director of Broadcast Operations for "SportsRadio" 1410 WPCC-AM in Clinton. After graduating from USC, Burgin worked at WDBG radio in Laurens for two years before joining the Texas Sports Radio Network in Houston where he covered several high schools and San Jacinto Junior College for four years.
2002 Rhinos individual game tickets are on sale and can be purchased in person at the BI-LO Center box office from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday or during an event. Tickets can also be purchased over the phone by calling either 864-233-2525 or 864-576-1550 and online at ticketmaster.com.
