
Louisville Fire's Roster Has Been Formed

HEAD COACH JEFF BROHM HAS SELECTED THE FINAL ROSTER FOR THE 2002 FIRE FOOTBALL SEASON
Louisville Fire arenafootball2 Head Coach Jeff Brohm made his final cut on Monday April 1st for the 2002 season.
The players selected for the final roster consist of 10 returning players from the 2001 Fire Football season including (QB) Matt Pike, LB/WR Anthony Payton, LB/RB Antonio Esters, OL/DL Marvin Taylor, Jason Thorne, Gregory Lile, Leland Taylor WR/DB Charles Sheffield, DS Demetrius Griggs, and Kicker Mike Moser.
The new players that have joined the Fire that have also played for colleges in Kentucky are Alfonzo Browning (WR/LB) who played for the University of Kentucky, Damon Butler (DS) and Matt Nally (OL/DL) both of whom played for Kentucky State, Delvecchio Walls (DS) who played for Western Kentucky, and also James Dawson (LB/RB) and Anthony Shelman (FB/DB) who played for University of Louisville.
Additional players that have been signed to the Fire are Joseph Karr(WR/DB) who moved from Phoenix Arizona to play for the Fire. Miguel Merritt (LB/ RB) who played for Alabama, Dan English (QB) from Tulane, Ty Stillman ( WR/DB) from Ohio Wesleyan, and Joseph Shoats (OL/DL) who is our only player from the USMC.
Practices are being held in Freedom Hall Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights this week at 7pm. Tonight the Fire will be having a practice game for the entire Louisville Fire Football staff.
The Louisville Fire will begin play April 6, 2002 in Freedom Hall at 7:00 PM against the Memphis Xplorers. Season tickets start at $64 and are on sale now by calling 368-0009.
