Carolina Cobras Reveal 2018 Theme Nights

GREENSBORO, NC - The Carolina Cobras have announced the Theme Nights and Promotions schedule for the upcoming 2018 season. The Cobras have a variety of creative themes designed to create the ultimate fan experience at the Greensboro Coliseum. In addition, the team will incorporate a number of appreciation nights and other initiatives to directly benefit the Greensboro community. The theme nights announced will be the first in team history as the Cobras look to kick off their inaugural season April 7.

The Cobras' home schedule opens Saturday, April 7, against the NAL defending champion Jacksonville Sharks. The team selected Co-Bra-Ritaville to warm up Carolina for the home opener. Jimmy Buffets greatest hits and island tunes will fill the arena along with long list of tiki hut fun for the first game.

On Saturday, April 21, against the Massachusetts Pirates, the Mammoths will host Country Night for the second home game of the season presented by UNC Greensboro. Carolina Cobras camo hats will be available for sale at the game as the Cobras look for a good old fashion country brawl against the Pirates.

The Cobras will return to the Greensboro Coliseum May 5, against the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks to celebrate Cinco De Mayo night. Bring your amigos and your sombreros and come to the game ready to party. There will be plenty of music and Coronaritas to celebrate a victory. Ole!

Saturday, May 19, against the Massachusetts Pirates, the Cobras will host Star Wars Night. Star Wars Characters from every movie will be in attendance and the first 1,000 kids in attendance (12 years and under) will receive their own Jedi Lightsaber. The Cobras will wear special Star Wars themed jerseys that will be auctioned after the game to benefit the Veterans Tickets Foundation.

The Cobras will host Superhero Night/Education Appreciation Night on Saturday, June 9, against the Jacksonville Sharks. The first 1,000 kids (12 and under) who attend the game will receive a free superhero cape. There will be special appearances including Batman, Ironman, Wonder Woman, Joker and Harley Quinn (subject to change). Join the Heroes and Villains as kids and adults alike can dress up as their favorite superhero. Additionally, the Cobras will recognize all teachers, administrators and school employees in celebration of Education Appreciation with a BOGO ticket offer (just show your school ID at the box office window. Children will also receive a free ticket with the purchase of a paying adult to celebrate the end of the school year. The Cobras will wear special Superhero themed jerseys that will be auctioned after the game to benefit the Veterans Tickets Foundation.  And if that wasn't enough, the Jr. Venom Dance Camp will occur on Friday and Saturday, culminating in a special performance at halftime.

On June 23, against the Columbus Lions, the Cobras will be hosting Military Appreciation Night. To honor all those who have served and continue to serve in our armed forces by hosting Military Appreciation Night. Active and retired Military Veterans from Carolina and their families will receive a BOGO ticket offer for friends and family. Renowned singer/artist Joe Everson will be performing and painting 3 military/Cobras themed painting to auction off post-game with the proceeds going to the Veterans Ticket Foundation (vettix.org). All monies derived from the auction benefit veterans and their families in Carolina.

The Cobras will return Saturday, July 14, for Halloween in July against the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks. This entertaining theme encourages kids and adults to join us in their favorite costume as we team up with some spooky friends, who will have plenty of haunted surprises in store. A haunted house will be set up on the concourse for your enjoyment or demise. For those who would prefer to not have a chill run up their spine during this thrilling night, there will be an established "no-scare" zone. Additionally, the Jr. Cobras Football camp will be held in the afternoon featuring Coach Billy Back, his staff, and players.

On Saturday, August 4, against the Columbus Lions the Cobras will host Fan Appreciation Night / 80s night for the regular season home finale. We will moonwalk to the rhythm of not only a winning decade but a winning season. Bringing back big hair, neon and zebra pants, as fans will enjoy a memorable last game of the regular season.
