JUPITER, FL - Matt Dryer went 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI and Eric Haberer gave up just one run over six innings as the Cardinals beat the Jupiter Hammerheads 6-1 on Wednesday night at Roger Dean Stadium.

Florida Marlin Tim Spooneybarger made the rehab start, but left after just 1/3 of an inning with pain in his right elbow. Antonio Alfonseca, also making a rehab appearance, gave up one hit while striking out one as he came on to pitch the second inning.

The Cardinals got to Jupiter's fourth pitcher of the night, Craig Molldrem (0-1), in the third inning. The Cards plated two runs courtesy of a sacrifice fly by Reid Gorecki and a two-base throwing error by shortstop Jose Campusano.

In the fourth, the Cardinals tacked on another run on a single by catcher Brady Toops in only his second at-bat with Palm Beach. Toops was promoted on Tuesday from the Swing of the Quad Cities (Low A, Midwest League).

The Cardinals offense was at it again in the fifth inning, this time scoring three times. The inning was highlighted by a two-run double by Brian Martin and a triple by Dryer.

The Hammerheads got their run on the board in the sixth on a two-out single by Angel Molina.

Kevin Ool, Mark Michael, and Roberto Batista each threw a scoreless inning of relief to nail down the third win in a row for the Cardinals to put them a season-high five games over .500 at 16-11. For Michael, it was his first appearance since being placed on the disabled list May 26.

Spooneybarger, who faced just three batters, hit Andy Schutzenhofer with a pitch and threw a wild pitch while facing Martin. With a 3-2 count to Martin, Spooneybarger threw a pitch behind Martin's head that hit off his bat for a foul ball, but immediately grabbed his elbow in pain. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Thursday.

The Cardinals face the Hammerheads three more times in the series, but will play the role of visitors through Saturday's series finale.
