JOHNSON CITY - The Johnson City Cardinals completed the three-game sweep vs. the Kingsport Mets with a 6-2 win Sunday evening in front of 2,751 fans at TVA Credit Union Ballpark. Liam Sabino went deep for the second straight game, and Johnson City scored all six runs with two outs.

Junior Santos suffered the loss for the Mets after allowing two hits and two runs (two earned) in 2.2 innings of work.

The Cards boarded two vs. the Mets starter before he gave way to Nate Peden out of the bullpen in the third. With two outs, Peden issued a walk to Zach Jackson to load the bases before Chandler Redmond sent a two-RBI single through the right side to score Carlos Soler and Mateo Gil. Redmond finished the series with 7 RBIs.

Sabino followed Redmond's knock with an RBI single of his own to score Jackson before Terry Fuller put the exclamation point on the inning with an RBI single of his own. Fuller reached three times for the third straight game. Soler notched two singles. He is now tied with Mateo Gil for the team lead in multi-hit games (4).

In the fifth, Sabino teed off for his second homer of the series to score himself and Redmond. The blast was his third of the season. His three RBIs matched a season-high.

The Cardinals got excellent relief once again. Michael YaSenka posted three scoreless innings from the sixth through the eighth. He allowed just one hit while striking out three. Walker Robbins struck out a pair in the ninth to seal the win. The Mets (6-6) stranded seven for the game and finished 1-for-9 with men in scoring position.
