Today's game between the Springfield Cardinals and the San Antonio Missions at Hammons Field has been cancelled due to unplayable field conditions and continuous rain. Today's rainout was the second in the home stand and will not be made up at any point during the 2006 season.
Tickets from the May 10th, 2006 game against the San Antonio Missions may be exchanged for any remaining regular season game during the 2006 season. Tickets must be mailed or presented in person to the Cardinals Ticket Office, located at the main gate or in the right field corner at Hammons Field, at anytime during the remainder of the 2006 season. Complimentary tickets are not exchangeable.
The Cardinals truly wish to thank all fans that braved the rain and the three-hour rain delay on Wednesday afternoon.
The Cardinals hit the road on Friday to face Wichita and then return home after a ten-game road trip on Monday, May 22nd, when they open up a seven-game home stand against the Midland RockHounds. Tickets are available by calling (417) 863-2143 or online at www.springfieldcardinals.com.
The VeggieTales will be at Hammons Field on Monday, May 22nd, as everyone in attendance will receive a certificate for one 2006 complimentary child admission to Celebration City in Branson. (Retail value $17.85)
VeggieTales Stars, Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber, will be at Hammons Field to greet fans, pose for photographs and throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch.
