
Cardinals sign McCormick

New Jersey Cardinals News Release
The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that they have reached an agreement with their supplemental 1st round pick (43rd overall selection) Mark McCormick a right handed pitcher from Baylor University.
McCormick was 8-4 this past season with Baylor and helped lead the team to the College World Series in Omaha for the 1st time since 1978. He appeared in 20 games this past season, starting all 20 and finishing the year with an ERA of 2.96 in 112.2 IP. McCormick struck out 115 batters and opponents hit .184 against him (73-396).
The New Jersey Cardinals are currently on the road for the 2nd game of their 7 game road trip. The Cardinals will square off against Williamsport for 3 and then head to Aberdeen, Md. for 3 with the Ironbirds Saturday, Sunday and Monday before returning home Wednesday July 13th at 7:15 to take on the Hudson Valley Renegades on Valley National Bank & New Jersey Herald Poster Night.
