
Cutters get back to winning ways

The Cutters got back to their winning ways on Wednesday night by beating New Jersey 7-1. RHP Mark Michael (1-0) on a rehab assignment from Hickory, went six innings giving up just five hits, no runs, and struck out five. The bats came alive early for the Cutters as 1B Steven Pearce continued his clutch hitting as he hit an RBI double in the bottom of the first inning. Williamsport continued swinging the bats in the bottom of the fifth as C Brandon Reddinger recorded his first hit and RBI of the season. 3B Euvi Solano went 1 for 2 with a two run single to help the Cutters cause. The Williamsport bullpen gave a solid outing by pitching three innings giving up two hits and one earned run to pull the Cutters to victory. The three game series continues Thursday night at Bowman Field.
