This evening at Skylands Park in Augusta, New Jersey, the New Jersey Cardinals (St. Louis Cardinals) were beaten by the Staten Island Yankees (New York Yankees) 7-2. With the loss the Cardinals drop to 6-13, and Staten Island draws even to 6-13. Matthew Desalvo, with the victory, improves to 1-1 on the campaign. Cardinals pitcher Juan Morales is now 0-1, while Yankees pitcher T. J. Bean collected his first save.

Melvin Falu hit 2-4 with a run scored in the 2nd inning. Daylon Monette drove him in, for the first run of the game, with a groundout to third base.
