
Sandoval Promoted to Alley Cats

AUBURN, NY â On Saturday, July 5 the Auburn Doubledays announced that pitcher Marcos Sandoval has been transferred from Auburn to the Charleston (WV) Alley Cats of the Class-A South Atlantic League.
Sandoval, 22, was 2-1 for the Doubledays in four starts with a 2.55 ERA with seven walks and 13 strikeouts. Sandoval is the second Doubleday to be promoted to Charleston this year. He joins Eric Arnold, who was promoted on June 25.
The Carabobo, Venezuela native was signed by the Toronto Blue Jays as a 17-year old non-drafted free agent on July 2, 1997. In his career with the Blue Jays organization, Sandoval's made stops in St. Catherines (NYPL), Hagerstown (SAL), Dunedin (FSL), Charleston (SAL), Auburn (NYPL) and Syracuse (IL).
