Palm Beach Cardinals News Release
JUPITER, FL - Bo Hall shutout the Cardinals for five innings, and Travis Ezi and Lou Palmisano each drove home a run as the Cardinals fell short 2-1 to the Brevard County Manatees on Saturday night.
Hall (1-2) allowed just two hits and struck out four against the Cardinals.
Cardinals' starter Mike Parisi pitched well despite suffering the loss. Parisi (4-5) gave up one run and seven hits over six innings.
The Manatees broke the scoreless tie with a run in the fifth, and both teams traded runs in the seventh. The Cardinals plated their run on a pinch-hit single by John Santor.
Jarrett Hoffpauir finished 2-for-4 for the Cardinals.
The Cardinals entered play on Saturday with a ½-game lead over the Vero Beach Dodgers for first place. The Dodgers fell to the Jupiter Hammerheads 5-4 on Saturday, so the Cardinals slim lead remains in tact.
The Cardinals will meet the Manatees for the rubber game of the series on Sunday afternoon at 2:05 p.m. Eric Haberer is scheduled to come off the disabled list and make the start.
