Cardinals Clinch Playoff Berth

JUPITER, Fla - With a Palm Beach win and Bradenton loss on Friday evening, the Cardinals claimed the Florida State League South Division Second Half Championship. This is the first playoff berth and division title for the Beach Birds since they won the Florida State League East Division in 2008 and is their fourth division title since the team's inception in 2003.

Palm Beach was the last of the four teams in the Florida State League to secure their spot in the playoffs and now the schedule is set. On Tuesday, September 8th, the Beach Birds will play host to the Charlotte Stone Crabs with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m. By way of winning the First Half, Charlotte has elected to host the second and potential third game of the South Division Championship Series.

The playoff schedule is as follows (Palm Beach home games are bold):

South Division Championship Series (*if necessary)

- Game One: Cardinals vs. Charlotte Stone Crabs Tuesday, Sept. 8, 6:35 p.m. ET

- Game Two: Cardinals at Charlotte Stone Crabs Wednesday, Sept. 9, 6:00 p.m. ET

- Game Three*: Cardinals at Charlotte Stone Crabs Thursday, Sept. 10, 6:00 p.m. ET

Palm Beach Cardinals playoff tickets will be available for $5.00 throughout the entire playoffs (applicable for home games only). Tickets may be purchased through the Roger Dean Stadium Ticket Office at (561) 630-1828 or visit www.ticketmaster.com.
