
Captains Return Home on May 5 for Eight Game Homestand Featuring Food Specials and Mother's Day

(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, the class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, return home for an eight-game home stand beginning on Tuesday May 5 against the Hickory Crawdads, the Class A affiliate of the Texas Rangers.
During the Tuesday and Wednesday night games, Captains fans will eat to their heart's content with "Feed Your Face" nights. For only $6, fans can enjoy all-you-can-eat hot dogs, hamburgers, mini corn dogs, peanuts and popcorn during each of these games.
Tuesday is Cinco de Mayo and Coronitas are will be $1 each. Coronitas are mini bottles of Corona. There will also be more drink specials at Castaway's Bar located inside Classic Park.
Wednesday will also be the first Win Big Wednesday of 2009 sponsored by Eat'n Park. The first 1,000 fans receive a scratch-off card and chance to win $500 cash and other great prizes.
Thursday is a day game with an 11:00 AM start time for participants in the Captains Reading Program."
Friday and Saturday will feature another round of News-Herald High School Home Run Derby after each game. Contestants from local high schools will be vying for a chance to make it to the finals of this annual event, scheduled for Friday June 12.
The Captains will celebrate Mother's Day on Sunday May 10th as Mother's will receive a Carnation presented by J.D. Ballantine's Flowers & Gifts. Mothers will be able to play catch with their kids in the outfield before the game. Sunday is also a Plevin and Gallucci Family Fun Sunday which will feature a pre-game player autograph session, lots of concourse entertainment and the opportunity for kids to run the bases after the game courtesy of Andrews Osborne Academy. In addition, kids who are part of Skipper's Lil' Buddies Club will have the opportunity to announce players over the public address system and sit in the radio booth during the game.
Monday is "Buck Night Monday Presented by National City", which will feature $1 off of all regular-priced game tickets as well as an expanded $1 concession menu that includes hot dogs, fries, popcorn, peanuts, chips, onion rings, mini corn dogs, soda and beer.
Another "Feed Your Face" Tuesday will be part of the final night of the home stand on May 12.
The Captains remind fans that tickets for The Bob Dylan Show, featuring John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson, which will take place on July 11, go on sale tomorrow at 10 AM. Tickets for the General Admission concert are only $67.75 and kids age 14 and under get in free with a paid adult.
Tickets for all Captains home games are on sale at the Classic Park box office, by phone at 440-954-WINS (9467) or at captainsbaseball.com. Full season tickets plans, 12, 20, and 35-game mini ticket plans are still on sale.
The Lake County Captains are a Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians and play their home games at Classic Park in Eastlake, at the corners of State Route 91 and Vine Street. The regular season home opener is scheduled for April 9th versus the Hagerstown Suns, the Class A affiliate for the Washington Nationals.
