Edmonton, AB - The Capitals used a combined ten runs during the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to beat the Calgary Vipers, 13-7, in the second game of their final regular season series. Aaron Hornostaj hit his second home run in as many games to help provide momentum leading into Sunday's season finale as well as the post-season against Calgary.

Trevor Caughey (3-6) picked up the win pitching well through five innings, but struggling in the sixth. PJ Bevis entered with two out in the sixth inning to stop the bleeding as the Vipers scored five times on seven hits, including a Wilver Perez three-run home run.

The Capitals responded in the bottom half of the inning with five runs of their own to take back control of the game. The home team tacked on two more runs late in the ball game and the Caps bullpen was solid as it surrendered just a single run in relief to carry the Caps to victory.

Next up for the Capitals will be the final game of this series against Calgary as well as the final game of the regular season. Signature Sunday will also feature Military Appreciation Day as the Caps pay tribute to the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces.
