Caps Hit Road to Michigan for Pair of Games

The Capitols are set to hit the road this weekend to face off against a pair of opponents in a Michigan swing. Friday, Madison faces Muskegon for the sixth and final time this season then travels on Saturday to Plymouth, Michigan, to face off against the USNTDP U-18s.

Madison travels as part of a three-game road trip that started this past Sunday in Cedar Rapids. In that game, Madison scored to win 3-2 in overtime. That came after a come from behind 3-2 victory on Saturday against Dubuque at home.

Charlie Michaud is the reigning USHL Defenseman of the Week after registering three assists in three games this past weekend. Michaud recorded the primary assist on both regulation goals for Madison in Sunday's win over Cedar Rapids.

Madison is 1-2-1-1 against the Lumberjacks on the season and 1-0-0-0 against the USNTDP U-18s. The Capitols enter the weekend in sole possession of fifth place in the Eastern Conference, sitting eleven points back of fourth placed Youngstown.

Puck drop on both nights is scheduled for the 6 o'clock hour in the Central Time Zone with both games taking place in the Eastern Time Zone. Follow along with both games on FloHockey and with live updates on the Capitols social media pages.

Madison returns home on Wednesday, March 6th, to start a five-game home stand. The Caps will face off against the Gamblers on that Wednesday night before hosting Sioux Falls for a pair on Friday and Saturday. Tickets for all three contests can be found at tickets.madcapshockey.com.
