'Caps 50th Anniversary Celebration Matches & Tickets on Sale this Week

VANCOUVER, BC - Get ready for the biggest season yet!

Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced the club's 50th Anniversary Celebration Matches on Monday, engaging the incredible community that has supported the club for five decades together.

The club also confirmed that single match tickets to all 2024 MLS regular season matches will be available this week including the four games that have already received demand to open the upper bowl at BC Place:

March 2 vs. Charlotte FC (home opener)

May 4 vs. Austin FC (50th Anniversary)

May 25 vs. Inter Miami CF (inaugural matchup)

August 24 vs. LAFC (playoff rematch)

Season members have presale access to additional tickets starting this morning at 10 a.m. PT. Limited season memberships and Golden Era Packs are also available at whitecapsfc.com/tickets. In addition, fans can sign up to become a 'Caps Insider or subscribe to 'Caps SMS before 5 p.m. PT on Tuesday, January 23 by visiting whitecapsfc.com/tickets/singles and be added to the single match presale on Thursday, January 25 at 10 a.m. PT. Single match tickets will be open to the general public on Friday, January 26 at 10 a.m. PT.

"This club has been a pillar of the community since 1974," said Axel Schuster, Whitecaps FC chief executive officer. "We are looking forward to celebrating our history, as well as the amazing people that make this such a fantastic community to be a part of. We are excited to bring several special events to our fans this season. The lower bowl has been filling up quickly, with limited seats remaining for select matches, so we encourage fans to secure their tickets as early as possible."

Home Opener: Saturday, March 2 vs. Charlotte FC

It's the start of a new MLS season! After a bye in Week 1, the 'Caps kick off their 2024 league campaign at BC Place, as Eastern Conference side Charlotte FC come to BC Place for the first time.

Women & Girls in Soccer Celebration: Saturday, March 30 vs. Portland Timbers

Right on the heels of International Women's Day, Whitecaps FC will celebrate the incredible women and girls working, playing, and setting new standards in soccer. This year's event will be extra special as the club is just one year from the launch of Project 8, Canada's domestic women's professional soccer league.

Vaisakhi Celebration: Saturday, April 6 vs. Toronto FC

Vaisakhi Night returns to BC Place for a third straight year, celebrating the South Asian community and the Solar New Year. The match comes the weekend before the annual Vaisakhi festivals start in Surrey and Vancouver - the biggest in the world outside of India.

50th Anniversary Match: Saturday, May 4 vs. Austin FC

The 50th Anniversary match marks a historic milestone in the illustrious history of Vancouver Whitecaps FC. It will be a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of the club's journey from inception to iconic status and what lies ahead for the next 50 years!

'70s Match: Saturday, June 1 vs. Colorado Rapids

Embrace the disco era and relive the glory days of the 1970s Whitecaps with a trip down memory lane to celebrate the first decade of 'Caps soccer, highlighted by the legendary 1979 NASL Soccer Bowl title.

Indigenous Peoples Celebration: Saturday, June 29 vs. St. Louis CITY SC

During National Indigenous History Month, Whitecaps FC are proud to host the club's fourth annual Indigenous Peoples Match, celebrating the cultures and contributions of Indigenous and First Nations peoples.

'80s Match: Wednesday, July 17 vs. Sporting Kansas City

Bringing back neon and rock and roll with this '80s extravaganza. Throwback to the rebirth of professional soccer in Canada and Vancouver 86ers legacy of national championships, as well as the longest undefeated streak in North American professional sports history!

Pride Celebration: Saturday, July 20 vs. Houston Dynamo FC

This coming season will mark the 11th anniversary of Whitecaps FC Pride Night, less than one month before the 2024 Vancouver Pride Parade. BC Place will be a colourful affair, with pride coloured nets, corner flags, and much more.

'90s Match: Saturday, August 24 vs. Los Angeles FC

Transporting fans back to the '90s, a decade filled with grunge hits, the rise of hip hop, and Swangard memories! Come for a night of '90s fun while exploring the founding of the A-League/USL era.

Next Gen Match: Saturday, September 7 vs. FC Dallas

Next Gen is all about celebrating the youth. Come to BC Place for a fun-filled night with the Next Generation featured throughout the stadium, including at halftime for another edition of the fan-favourite 100v2.

21st Century Match: Saturday, September 14 vs. San Jose Earthquakes

Step back into the distinct pop culture of the 2000s while celebrating the modern era of Whitecaps FC success, from USL championships, to debut in MLS, Canadian Championships and beyond.

Home Finale: Saturday, October 5 vs. Minnesota United FC

It's crunch time as the MLS regular season winds down with teams battling for playoff position. The 'Caps will be on the road for Decision Day, so this will be the final chance of the regular season to secure three points in front of the home supporters.
