Capitols Select 10 in USHL Futures Draft

Middleton, WI - The Madison Capitols participated in the 2019 USHL Phase I Draft on Monday night, selecting 10 players in the draft. Madison drafted five forwards, four defensemen, and one goalie, including picking Luke Mittelstadt with the 2nd overall pick in this years draft.

The Phase I Draft consisted of ten rounds of U-17 players for next year's season (2003 birth year).

"We're very excited for the 10 players we were able to draft in the futures draft this year," says head coach Garrett Suter. "We had our big board of players and these guys were all top of their selected rounds for us. We can't wait to see what they can do at camp."

4th Round, 48th Overall Pick:

Trey Fechko | Forward | Eden Prairie, MN (Holy Family Catholic HS Fire)

6th Round, 78th Overall Pick:

Eli Barnett | Defense | Riverview, NB (Selects Academy 15's at SKS)

7th Round, 93th Overall Pick:

Blake Stafford | Forward | Sun Prairie, WI (Madison Capitols 16U)

8th Round, 108th Overall Pick:

Sam Volturo | Defense | Novi, MI (Detroit Little Caesars 15's)

9th Round, 123rd Overall Pick:

Matthew Bryant | Goalie | La Crosse, WI (Madison Capitols 16U)

10th Round, 138th Overall Pick:

Noah-David Dayan | Defense | Saint-Laurent, QC (Iowa Wild AAA 16U)
