October 23, 2015 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Madison Capitols News Release
Madison, WI - The Madison Capitols are excited to reveal high praise bestowed upon the team from The Hockey News magazine. In the publication's annual Jersey Issue released earlier in the week, the Capitols' sweater was ranked the 47th best hockey jersey of all time.
The Capitols were one of four USHL teams to earn a distinction in the top 100 sweaters, along with the Dubuque Fighting Saints, Sioux City Musketeers, and Muskegon Lumberjacks. It is the second straight year the Capitols received mention from The Hockey News for the sweater design.
The Capitols will open up a three-game homestand wearing their world-renowned sweaters tonight at 7 p.m. as they take on the Chicago Steel at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. It marks the first WJJO $1 Beer Night of the season featuring the new ice-level Beer Garden location.
They will remain in action on Saturday and Sunday against Bloomington and Chicago respectively. Puck drop Saturday is set for 7 p.m., while Sunday will be a 4 p.m. start. Sunday is Pucks N' Paws night presented by Animart; dogs will be permitted inside the Coliseum and receive specialty doggy bags courtesy of Animart.
Tickets for the weekend are available via the Alliant Energy Center box office, online at www.MadCapsHockey.com, or by calling in at (608) 257-CAPS (2277).
