Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Capitals will be celebrating Canada Day early this year. On Friday, June 26th, fans are invited down to Telus Field for one of the city's most spectacular displays of fireworks to be seen this year. Our Fireworks Friday promotion will be ramped up with an extended fireworks show following the series debut between the Capitals and Victoria Seals. Game time Friday night is 8 o'clock.
NHL Draft Party Live at TELUS Field
Your pipeline to the 2009 NHL Entry Draft will be at the Edmonton Capitals game Friday night. Join us for a tailgate party before the baseball game with pick by pick coverage of the draft in Montreal. 630 CHED's Dan Tencer will be broadcasting live from the Home Plate Club and one lucky fan will have a chance to talk to the Oilers first pick over the phone!
The Edmonton Eskimos will cheer on the Edmonton Capitals - Saturday, June 27th
There'll be a green and gold theme to the Caps game Saturday night as the series continues against the Victoria Seals. Members of the Edmonton Eskimos will be on site to meet some of Edmonton's greatest fans! Autograph sessions will take place on the concourse from 6-7pm and the Cheer Team will be performing throughout the game.
Esks' General Manager Danny Maciocia and Head Coach Richie Hall try their football arms out on the pitching mound for the ceremonial first pitch. The Pepsi Celebrity Hitting Challenge will feature Eskimos Calvin McCarty and Kevin Challenger going head to head to win a spot in the final later this season for $5000 to a charity of their choice.
Babies and Baseball - Sunday, June 28th
Moms and moms to be - put your feet up and relax as the Edmonton Capitals devote an entire day to you!
Join the Edmonton Capitals as they host the first Babies and Baseball presented by CISN FM. It's your chance to throw out the first pitch, help sing the seventh inning stretch and win some fabulous prizes from Sweet Momma and Yo Mama Maternity!
Does your little one have you chasing them across the house constantly? Are you reluctant about the future when they actually learn to walk? If this is you, your baby could win a $500 RESP from ATB Financial in the famed Baby Races that will take place on field. You can pre-register your baby at capsbaseball.ca.

- All pregnant moms will get to throw out a first pitch
