Canucks Recall Forward Brendan Gaunce from the Comets

Utica, NY - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has recalled forward Brendan Gaunce from the Utica Comets.

Gaunce, 23, collected two goals and an assist on a five-game conditioning stint with the Comets this season. In 2016-17, the 6-2, 217-pound forward registered five assists in 57 games for the Canucks and three points (2-1-3) in four games with the Comets.

The Sudbury, Ontario native has played in 77 career NHL games, posting six points (1-5-6) and 35 penalty minutes. He was originally drafted in the first round, 26th overall, by the Canucks in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
