Canucks Re-Assign Perrault to Moose & Recall Jonas Andersson

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, today announced they have re-assigned centre Joel Perrault to the Moose. The Canucks also announced they have recalled left winger Jonas Andersson from the Moose.

Perrault, 27, appeared in seven games with the Canucks after being recalled from the Moose on Nov. 18/10. Prior to being recalled, Perrault appeared in 15 games with the Moose where he recorded 10 points (2g, 8a) and 10 penalty minutes. The Montreal, PQ native has now played in 96 career NHL games with Phoenix, St. Louis, and Vancouver where he has 26 points (12g, 14a) and 68 penalty minutes. In 312 career AHL games with San Antonio, Peoria, and Manitoba, Perrault has 225 points (97g, 128a) and 247 penalty minutes. Perrault was originally drafted by Anaheim in the fifth round, 137th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.

Andersson, 29, has played in 12 games with the Moose this season scoring six points (3g, 3a), including a goal and an assist over his past three games. Andersson was obtained by the Vancouver Canucks along with defenceman Ryan Parent on Oct. 5/10 from the Nashville Predators in exchange for defenceman Shane O'Brien and right winger Dan Gendur. The native of Stockholm, Sweden, previously has five games of NHL experience, having played five games with the Nashville Predators during the 2001-02 season. He had zero points and two penalty minutes in those games. Andersson was originally drafted by Nashville in the second round, 33rd overall, in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
