
Canucks re-assign Auld to Moose

The Vancouver Canucks today announced they have re-assigned goaltender Alex Auld to the Manitoba Moose.
So far in 2003-04, Auld has appeared in 22 games with nine wins and 11 losses to go along with a tie. He has a goals-against average thus far of 2.66 and a save percentage of .909. He has played in five games with the Canucks this season, sporting a 2-1-2 record with a 2.10 goals-against average and .931 save percentage. Auld has been recalled by the Canucks twice previously this season, on February 14 and back on December 10.
Auld, 23, appeared in 37 games for Manitoba in 2002-03 and posted a 15-19-3-0 record with a 2.64 GAA and a save percentage of .908. He also appeared in seven games with the Canucks last season, recording three wins and three losses, with a goals-against average of 1.57. He recorded his first ever NHL shutout when he stopped 14 shots to blank Washington 6-0 on March 23, 2003.
The Cold Lake, AB native has played in 13 career NHL games, recording nine wins and 11 losses with a goalsagainst average of 1.83 and a save percentage of .934.
He was acquired by Vancouver in a trade with Florida on May 31, 2001 in exchange for a second and third round draft pick. He was the Panthers' second choice, 40th overall, in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
